Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades Exhibition

Louis Vuitton Lounge Chair Unfolds At Objets Nomades Exhibition In Miami

The French luxury fashion house brings its Objets Nomades exhibition to the Louis Vuitton Miami Design District store. Open from December 3rd 2015 to February 10th 2016, the presentation has been conceptualized to transport Louis Vuitton’s heritage into new territory with an enriched Objets Nomades collection of foldable furniture and travel accessories.

Paying tribute to the House’s special orders of the past, such as the iconic Bed Trunk or Wardrobe Trunk, the collection ups the contemporary spirit by unveiling the Lounge Chair for the first time. The unfolding and portable oasis for relaxation is made up for three individual modules that fit into each other like a puzzle, yet when laid out create three distinct solutions – a chaise longue, armchair or pouffe. Each piece is distinctly connected with a buckled tan leather Louis Vuitton strap.

Designed by Marcel Wanders, the foldable lounge chair debuts in tan leather as well as in turquoise blue, inspired by Ocean Drive in South Beach. Though not exclusively designed for Miami, Dutch designer Marcel Wanders does honor Miami’s architectural heritage with the exclusive turquoise leather edition. High on style and portability, it is created to go anywhere, ideal to take it along on tropical holidays and sit in the sun and drink martinis.

First presented during Design Miami in 2012, there are now 17 Objets Nomades – from a hammock to a foldable stool to lights – all in noble materials and available as limited editions or experimental prototypes.

The exclusive limited-edition pieces from the intricate and modern collection have been designed by up-and-coming and established designers from around the globe. Available at Miami Design District, Louis Vuitton suggests calling and contacting their expert advisers for a personalized shopping experience and to discover more about these unique pieces.
