Frédéric Boucheron was the first modern jeweler to establish his townhouse and workshops on Place Vendôme in 1893.

To bring to light this exceptional place, which has seen many intriguing times, a bold idea was needed. Hand craft enthusiasts House Boucheron wanted to offer a unique experience where different worlds collide, a creation that would pay homage to the fineness and delicacy of the jewelry housed in 26 Place Vendôme. I don’t know if the “origami” paper jewel designed a few years ago for Wallpaper magazine (handmade and numbered, photographed here by Richard Sweeney) served as a basis for this, but the building of the Place Vendôme paper model was entrusted to the talented hands of New York artist Jo Lynn Alcorn.
