Loewe expands in the Asian market with its largest flagship store in Shanghai
Loewe, the prestigious Spanish luxury brand, has taken a significant step in its Asian expansion with the opening of its flagship store in Shanghai. Located in the vibrant Jing’an district, this new ‘Loewe House’ covers 650 square metres on two floors.

Conceived under the brand’s ‘Loewe House’ concept, with a welcoming and luminous aesthetic, the space combines the Spanish brand’s characteristic DNA with classic elements of Chinese culture and architecture.
One of the most striking elements of the shop is its large façade, designed in the form of dynamic waves that are reflected into the interior of the space. The exterior has been covered with 35,536 golden ceramic tiles handmade by the Barcelona studio Ceràmica Cumella.

In addition, as part of the shop image devised by Loewe, the flagship store includes a selection of sculptures, furniture and handcrafted objects from the brand’s art collection, inspired by craftsmanship and the natural world, which will be on display for customers.
Through this opening, the luxury brand strengthens its ties with Shanghai, where it presented its ‘Crafted World’ exhibition for the first time, which will be on display in Tokyo from 29 March. Loewe continues to consolidate its presence in China, after having opened a new shop in the heart of the province of Chengdu. The firm also wanted to pay tribute to the country’s culture with the launch of a capsule collection this January to commemorate the Chinese New Year.
Founded in 1846 in Madrid, originally as a leather goods workshop, the luxury brand owned by French giant LVMH is world-renowned for its craftsmanship and original creations. Since 2013, Loewe’s creative direction has been led by designer Jonathan Anderson, also founder of JW Anderson.

With this new ‘Loewe House’ in Shanghai, the brand not only expands its presence in Asia, but also reaffirms its commitment to offer unique experiences that fuse fashion, art and culture, consolidating its position as a leader in the global luxury market.
